ток перегрузки
Сверхток в электрической цепи при перегрузке.
Ток перегрузки является сверхтоком, который возникает при отсутствии повреждений в электрической цепи и появлении в ней перегрузки. В большинстве электрических цепей электроустановки здания могут возникать кратковременные токи перегрузки, которые обусловлены пусковыми токами электрооборудования. Например, при включении асинхронных электродвигателей пусковые токи могут в пять и более раз превышать их номинальные токи. При включении светильников с лампами накаливания пусковой ток может превышать десятикратный номинальный ток. Промежуток времени, в течение которого протекают пусковые токи, обычно не превышает нескольких секунд.
Длительное протекание токов перегрузки по проводникам может вызвать их сильный нагрев и стать причиной пожара в здании. Поэтому электрические цепи в электроустановках зданий защищают от токов перегрузки с помощью устройств защиты от сверхтока. Однако устройства защиты от сверхтока не должны отключать защищаемые ими электрические цепи при появлении в них пусковых токов.
